Could you please note that usage of sudo in Sabayon is deprecated? AFAIK it is so because usage may cause some problems. There is statement to not use it: https://wiki.sabayon.org/index.php?title=Entropy#Using_Entropy_to_upgrade_all_installed_packages Also, from querying bot on IRC:
[11:12:02] <ParkerBeta> sudo: Even though sudo is present on sabayon, we don't advise using it. Many of our howtos contain chained commands, which sudo will only execute the first portion of with root privileges. Please use su instead. If you really want to do things the stupid way, then here's how. http://wiki.sabayonlinux.org/index.php?title=HOWTO:_Enable_sudo [11:12:02] <ParkerBeta> sudo: it is also proven that sudo does not update the operating environment properly, this can lead to small but dangerous stability issues at times [11:12:02] <ParkerBeta> sudo: if you don't listen to our sage advice, we will drop angry hedgehogs, porcupines, or cacti into your underwear while you're wearing them.
AFAIK there is a way to use sudo without causing problems, though it would add another layer of complexity for end user, thus advised is su. Also '#' indicates that command is executed by root, thus rendering usage of sudo kinda meaningless.
Could you please remove 'sudo' from commands on wiki pages you've edited? If for some reason you can't, or you're not willing to do it, could you give some reasons?
